– 1 kg pork belly
– 2-3 garlic cloves (minced)
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 2 teaspoons of Chinese Five Spice
– 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
– 2 teaspoons of paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F.

2. Rub the pork belly with the garlic, oil, soy sauce, honey, Chinese Five Spice, ground ginger, paprika, salt and pepper.

3. Place the pork belly in a roasting dish with a lid and cook in the oven for 1 hour.

4. After an hour, take the lid off the roasting dish and turn the oven up to 220°C/430°F.

5. Cook the pork belly for a further 30 minutes, or until the skin is crisp and golden.

6. Remove the pork belly from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
