– 4 boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
– 1 teaspoon kosher salt
– 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, or sage (optional)


1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Place pork chops on a cutting board and season both sides with salt and pepper.

3. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.

4. Add pork chops to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side, until lightly browned.

5. Transfer skillet to preheated oven and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F.

6. Remove skillet from oven and let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

7. If desired, sprinkle fresh herbs over pork chops before serving. Enjoy!
