– 1 large yam
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Wash and scrub the yam well. Leave the skin on if you’d like; you can also peel it if desired.

3. Cut the yam into 1-inch cubes.

4. Spread the cubes out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

5. Drizzle the cubes with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

6. Roast the yam in the oven for 25 minutes, until it’s tender and golden brown.

7. Serve warm. Enjoy!
