Ingredients

Winter squash, like butternut, acorn, and spaghetti
Oil, butter, or your favorite cooking oil
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut the squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon and discard.
3. Place the squash halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Rub the inside of the squash with oil, butter, or your favorite cooking oil.
5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste.
6. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the squash is soft and tender.
7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
