Ingredients

– 2-3 lb. tri-tip roast
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 teaspoons garlic powder
– 2 teaspoons onion powder
– 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
– 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
– 2 teaspoons sea salt
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Place the tri-tip on a roasting pan and brush it with the olive oil.

3. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and sea salt. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the tri-tip.

4. Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce and balsamic vinegar over the tri-tip.

5. Roast the tri-tip for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).

6. Remove the tri-tip from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

7. Slice the tri-tip against the grain and serve.

Tips

– If you prefer to grill the tri-tip, preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F). Grill the tri-tip for 25-30 minutes, flipping it once halfway through.

– For a slow-cooked tri-tip, place it in a slow cooker with 1 cup of beef broth and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours.

– To achieve the perfect medium-rare doneness, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the tri-tip.
