How To Cook Pumpkin Seeds
All you need to know about: How To Cook Pumpkin Seeds.
Preparing the Seeds
Begin by prepping the pumpkin seeds for roasting. Start by washing the seeds in a colander and removing any excess pumpkin flesh. Spread the seeds on a paper towel and pat the seeds dry.
Seasoning the Seeds
Once the seeds have been prepped and dried, it’s time to season them. Place the seeds in a bowl and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil for every cup of seeds. Then add any desired seasoning, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, or paprika. Toss the seeds with the oil and seasoning to evenly coat them.
Roasting the Seeds
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake the seeds for approximately 35 minutes, stirring them every 10 minutes to ensure even roasting. Be sure to check the seeds every few minutes after 30 minutes of cooking, as they can easily burn.
Serving the Seeds
Once the pumpkin seeds are finished roasting, remove them from the oven and let them cool. Serve the pumpkin seeds warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
