-2-3 lbs. of oxtails
-1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
-1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
-1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
-1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
-1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
-1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
-2 tablespoons of olive oil
-2 cups of beef broth
-1 cup of red wine
-1 onion, diced
-1 carrot, diced
-2 celery stalks, diced
-2 bay leaves
-1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
-Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Start by seasoning the oxtails with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and black pepper.

2. Place the flour in a shallow bowl and coat the oxtails with the flour.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the oxtails and brown them for about 5 minutes on each side.

4. Transfer the oxtails to a slow cooker.

5. Add the beef broth, red wine, onion, carrot, celery, bay leaves, and Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker.

6. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours, or until the oxtails are tender.

7. Remove the oxtails from the slow cooker and transfer to a serving dish.

8. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.

9. Serve the oxtails with the vegetables and sauce from the slow cooker. Enjoy!
