How To Cook Ox Tail

All you need to know about: How To Cook Ox Tail.

Ingredients:

• 2 lb. ox tail
• 2 cups of beef broth
• 2 cloves of garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
• 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons of olive oil
• 2 tablespoons of fresh thyme leaves
• 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 large carrot, chopped
• 2 celery stalks, chopped
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 teaspoon of salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

3. Add the ox tail and brown on all sides.

4. Remove the ox tail from the pot and set aside.

5. Add the onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

6. Add the garlic, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, pepper, and salt and cook for another minute.

7. Return the ox tail to the pot and add the beef broth.

8. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir to combine.

9. Add the bay leaves and cover the pot.

10. Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for 2 1/2 hours.

11. Remove the pot from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

12. Serve the ox tail and vegetables with cooked rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
