How To Cook Nopales

All you need to know about: How To Cook Nopales.

Ingredients:

– Nopales (1/2 lb)
– 2 tomatoes
– 1 onion
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1 jalapeno
– 1/4 cup of cilantro
– Salt, to taste
– Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions:

1. Start by washing the nopales. If you bought them fresh, you may need to remove the thorns. To do that, you can use a knife or a vegetable peeler.

2. Chop the nopales into small cubes.

3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

4. Add the chopped nopales and cook for about 10 minutes.

5. Meanwhile, dice the tomatoes, onions, garlic and jalapeno.

6. Once the nopales are cooked, add the diced vegetables to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

7. Add salt, to taste.

8. Finally, stir in the cilantro and cook for 1 minute more.

Serving:

Serve the nopales with warm tortillas, and enjoy!
