How To Cook Live Lobster

All you need to know about: How To Cook Live Lobster.

Step 1: Get the Necessary Supplies

Before you start cooking your live lobster, you need to make sure you have all the necessary supplies. You will need a large pot with a lid, a large spoon or tongs to handle the lobster, and a pair of kitchen shears or a sharp knife. You should also have a cutting board and a bowl to catch any juices that come out of the lobster.

Step 2: Prepare the Lobster

Once you have all the supplies ready, it’s time to prepare the lobster. Start by flipping the lobster over so that its underside is facing up. Use the kitchen shears or a sharp knife to cut the underside of the lobster from the head to the tail. Then, use a spoon to scoop out the organs and innards and transfer them to the bowl.

Step 3: Boil the Lobster

Once the lobster is prepared, it’s time to cook it. Fill the large pot with enough water to cover the lobster, and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, carefully lower the lobster into the pot. Cover the pot with the lid and let the lobster boil for about 10 minutes.

Step 4: Remove the Lobster from the Pot

Once the lobster is done boiling, remove it from the pot and place it on the cutting board. Use the kitchen shears or a sharp knife to separate the tail from the body. Then, crack open the shell of the tail and remove the meat. You can either eat the lobster meat as-is, or you can use it in a variety of recipes.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Now you’re ready to enjoy your freshly cooked lobster! Serve it with your favorite side dishes, or use the cooked lobster meat in other recipes. Enjoy!
