What You Need

-1 large jackfruit
-1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
-Salt and pepper to taste
-Optional ingredients: garlic, onion, curry powder, herbs, and spices


1. Start by washing the jackfruit in cold water. Make sure to get rid of any dirt or debris.

2. Cut the jackfruit in half and then cut it into smaller pieces. Depending on how you want to prepare it, you can cut the jackfruit into slices, cubes, or strips.

3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the jackfruit and season it with salt and pepper.

4. Cook the jackfruit for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is golden brown. You can add additional ingredients such as garlic, onion, curry powder, herbs, and spices at this point if desired.
