How To Cook Firm Tofu

All you need to know about: How To Cook Firm Tofu.

Ingredients Needed

– 1 Package of Firm Tofu
– 2 Tablespoons of Cooking Oil
– 2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
– 1 Teaspoon of Brown Sugar
– 1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Ginger
– 1/2 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
– Salt and Pepper to Taste


1. Start by draining and pressing the tofu. To do this, remove it from the package and press it in a tofu press for at least 20 minutes. You can also wrap it in a clean dish towel and press it between two plates with a heavy object on top.

2. Once the tofu is pressed, cut it into cubes or slices.

3. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

4. Add the tofu to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until it’s golden brown and crispy.

5. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

6. Pour the sauce over the tofu and stir to coat.

7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce has thickened and the tofu is cooked through.

8. Serve the tofu with your favorite sides and enjoy!
