How To Cook Collards Greens

• 2 bunches of fresh collard greens
• 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
• 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• ½ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
• 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
• ¼ cup of chicken or vegetable stock


1. Wash the collard greens carefully and pat dry.

2. Remove the stems from the leaves and discard.

3. Stack the leaves and roll them up tightly. Cut them into thin strips.

4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.

5. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

6. Add the collard greens and season with salt and pepper.

7. Cook, stirring often, until the greens are wilted and tender, about 10 minutes.

8. Add the apple cider vinegar and chicken or vegetable stock.

9. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

10. Serve and enjoy!
