How To Cook Chayote

All you need to know about: How To Cook Chayote.


– 1 Chayote, peeled and cut into cubes
– 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
– Salt and Pepper to taste
– 1 tablespoon of Butter
– 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup of Onion, minced


1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Place the cubed Chayote onto a baking sheet. Drizzle with Olive Oil, salt and pepper and toss to combine.

3. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until Chayote is tender.

4. While the Chayote is baking, melt the Butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

5. Add Garlic and Onion to the skillet and sauté until fragrant and golden brown.

6. Once the Chayote is finished baking, add it to the skillet with the Garlic and Onion.

7. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until all the ingredients are combined and heated through.

Serve and Enjoy
