1 pound fresh or frozen green beans
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup slivered almonds


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. If using fresh green beans, wash and trim off the ends. If using frozen green beans, thaw them out.
3. Spread green beans on a baking sheet and top with butter, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
4. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once during baking.
5. Add the almonds to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Serve hot.
