• 3 1/2 to 4 pound beef brisket
• 2 tablespoons paprika
• 1 tablespoon onion powder
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
• 2 teaspoons kosher salt
• 1 cup beef broth
• 2 bay leaves


1. Combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning mixture over all sides of the brisket.

2. Place the brisket in the slow cooker. Add the beef broth and bay leaves.

3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 6 to 8 hours, or until the brisket is very tender.

4. Transfer the brisket to a cutting board and slice against the grain. Serve the brisket with the juices from the slow cooker.
