-1 pound of dry black beans
-6 cups of water
-1 teaspoon of salt
-1 tablespoon of olive oil
-1 onion, diced
-3 cloves of garlic, minced
-2 tablespoons of tomato paste
-1 teaspoon of cumin
-1 teaspoon of chili powder
-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1. Start by sorting through the dry black beans and discarding any stones or debris. Rinse the beans and set aside.
2. Add the beans, water, salt, and oil to the Instant Pot. Secure the lid and select the “Bean/Chili” setting.
3. Once the beans are done cooking, let the pressure release naturally for about 10 minutes before opening the lid.
