1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.

2. In a bowl, mix together 2 cups of self-rising flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

3. Cut 1/2 cup of cold butter into the flour mixture, using a pastry blender or two knives.

4. Combine 1 cup of cold buttermilk with the flour mixture until it just comes together.

5. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough until it is soft and pliable, about 1 minute.

6. Roll the dough out to about 1/2-inch thick.

7. Cut the dough into biscuits, using a biscuit cutter or a glass.

8. Place the biscuits in the preheated air fryer basket, making sure to leave space between them.

9. Cook the biscuits for 7-10 minutes, or until golden brown.


• You can use a non-dairy milk if you prefer.

• You can also brush the biscuits with melted butter or egg wash for a golden-brown finish.

• If the biscuits are browning too quickly, reduce the temperature of the air fryer slightly.

• If the biscuits aren’t done in the middle, you can cook them for a few more minutes.
