How To Cook Artichokes In Oven
Artichokes are an incredibly delicious vegetable that can be cooked in a variety of ways. One of the easiest methods is to bake them in the oven. This method yields a tender, flavorful artichoke that is perfect for a side dish or as part of a larger meal.
Ingredients
-4 artichokes
-4 tablespoons olive oil
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-2 teaspoons of your favorite herbs (oregano, thyme, rosemary, etc.)
-1 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
2. Rinse the artichokes thoroughly and remove any excess leaves. Cut the top of each artichoke off and discard.
3. Place the artichokes in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle the minced garlic, herbs, salt and pepper over the artichokes.
4. Bake the artichokes for 40-45 minutes, or until a knife can easily pierce the center of the artichoke.
5. Serve the baked artichokes warm, with more olive oil and/or lemon juice if desired. Enjoy!
