Ingredients

– 1 acorn squash
– 1 tablespoon of butter
– 1 teaspoon of sugar
– Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Using a sharp knife, cut your acorn squash in half, lengthwise.

2. Using a spoon, scrape out the seeds and the fibers and discard.

3. Place each half of the squash cut side down in a microwave-safe dish. Add 2 tablespoons of water to the dish.

4. Microwave the squash on high for 4 to 5 minutes, or until tender.

5. Carefully remove the squash from the dish and let it cool for a few minutes.

6. Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh of the squash.

7. Place the squash in a bowl and add the butter, sugar, salt, and pepper.

8. Use a fork to mash the squash until it is a desired consistency.

9. Serve the mashed squash warm. Enjoy!
