How To Cook A Seafood Boil

Seafood boils are a delicious way to enjoy a variety of seafood in one dish. This recipe serves 4-6 people.


– 2 pounds of shrimp
– 1 pound of mussels
– 1 pound of clams
– 2 crabs, cracked and cleaned
– 2 ears of corn, cut into thirds
– 2 potatoes, cut into wedges
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 lemons, cut into wedges
– Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Heat a large pot of salted water over high heat.

2. When the water comes to a boil, add the potatoes and onion. Boil until the potatoes are tender, about 8-10 minutes.

3. Add the shrimp, mussels, clams, and crabs to the pot. Boil for 5 minutes.

4. Add the corn and boil for an additional 3 minutes.

5. Remove the pot from the heat and drain the water.

6. Add the butter, olive oil, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.

7. Place the pot back on the stove and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

8. Add the lemon wedges to the pot and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

9. Serve the seafood boil in individual bowls. Enjoy!
