3. Rub the pheasant with a mixture of butter, garlic, and herbs.

4. Place the pheasant in an oven-safe dish and cover it with foil.

5. Bake the pheasant in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

6. Remove the foil and baste the pheasant with the cooking juices.

7. Bake the pheasant uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.

8. Check the internal temperature of the pheasant with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.


• If you don’t have an oven-safe dish, you can use a roasting pan.

• Add vegetables to the dish before baking the pheasant for an easy one-pan meal.

• If you want to brown the skin of the pheasant, turn on the broiler for the last few minutes of cooking.
