How To Cook A London Broil On The Stove

All you need to know about: How To Cook A London Broil On The Stove.

Step 1: Preparing the London Broil

Begin by selecting a quality London Broil steak. Look for a steak that is at least 1-inch thick, with even marbling and a bright red color. The London Broil should be well-trimmed, with no excess fat or gristle.

Step 2: Marinating the London Broil

Once you have selected the London Broil, it is important to marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes before cooking. To marinate, mix together ingredients such as Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, onion, and olive oil in a shallow container. Place the London Broil in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3: Cooking the London Broil on the Stove

Once the steak has been marinated, it is time to cook the London Broil. Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom. Once the skillet is hot, add the London Broil to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side.

Be sure to not overcook the London Broil. The steak should be cooked to an internal temperature of 140°F. To check the temperature, insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of the steak. Once the London Broil has reached the desired temperature, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Step 4: Slicing and Serving the London Broil

Once the London Broil has rested for 5 minutes, it is time to slice and serve. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve the London Broil with your favorite sides and enjoy!
