1 live lobster

Instructions

1. Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the lobster and bring to a boil.

2. Add a tablespoon of salt for every quart of water.

3. Once the water is boiling, add the lobster head first and cover the pot.

4. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10-12 minutes.

5. Remove the lobster from the boiling water and allow it to cool.

6. Once the lobster has cooled, crack and remove the meat from the shell.

7. Serve with melted butter, lemon wedges, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Tips

– If you don’t have a large pot, you can steam the lobster instead.

– To steam the lobster, place it in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 12-15 minutes.

– Be sure to keep an eye on the lobster while it’s cooking, as overcooking will make it tough.

– You can also roast or grill the lobster. To do this, preheat the oven or grill to 375°F (190°C). Place the lobster on a sheet pan or grill grate and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster is cooked through.
