How To Cook A Brisket On A Grill

Cooking a brisket on a grill is a great way to get a delicious, juicy piece of meat that can be served with any kind of side dish. It takes a little bit of patience and practice to get the perfect brisket, but the end result is well worth the effort. Here’s how to get it done.

Ingredients

– 4-5 pound brisket
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tablespoons garlic powder
– 2 tablespoons onion powder
– 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
– 2 tablespoons dried oregano
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 2 tablespoons ground cumin
– 2 teaspoons black pepper
– 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions

1. Begin by preparing your ingredients. Mix the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, chili powder, ground cumin, black pepper, and kosher salt in a bowl.

2. Rub the brisket on all sides with the mixture from the bowl. Make sure to get an even coat of the rub on the brisket.

3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the brisket on the grill, fat side down. Cover the grill and cook the brisket for 1 hour.

4. Turn the brisket over and cook for 1 more hour.

5. Reduce the heat to low and cook the brisket for an additional 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

6. Remove the brisket from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Tips

– For extra flavor, you can add your favorite barbecue sauce to the rub mixture, or brush it on the brisket during the last hour of cooking.

– To ensure an even cook, rotate the brisket every 30 minutes.

– If the brisket is getting too dark, you can tent it with aluminum foil for the last hour of cooking.

Enjoy your perfectly cooked brisket!
