How to Cook Corned Beef

Corned beef is a delicious and savory beef dish that is popular in many countries. Fortunately, it’s also relatively easy to make. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious corned beef that your whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

– 2-3 lb corned beef brisket
– 2 bay leaves
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
– 1 onion, peeled and cut into wedges
– 2 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
– 2 celery stalks, cut into chunks
– 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Place corned beef in a large roasting pan.
3. Sprinkle bay leaves, garlic, peppercorns, mustard seeds, brown sugar, paprika, ginger, and thyme over the top of the corned beef.
4. Pour the apple cider vinegar over the top of the corned beef.
5. Add the onion, carrots, and celery around the corned beef.
6. Pour the beef broth into the bottom of the roasting pan.
7. Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil, and place in preheated oven.
8. Bake for 2-3 hours, or until the corned beef is tender.
9. Remove from oven, and let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
