Ingredients
1 beef tenderloin
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Season the tenderloin with salt and pepper.
3. Heat oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tenderloin to the skillet and sear on all sides until nicely browned, about 3 minutes per side.
4. Add the garlic and thyme to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the tenderloin until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F (57 degrees C) for medium-rare, or 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) for medium, about 15 minutes.
