How To Cook Sirloin Steak
Cooking a delicious sirloin steak is easier than you think. Follow these simple steps for a perfect steak every time.
Ingredients
– 2 sirloin steaks, preferably 1-inch thick
– Salt
– Pepper
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Place the steaks on a cutting board and generously season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add the butter and olive oil.
4. When the butter is melted, add the steaks to the pan and cook for 3 minutes per side for medium-rare.
5. Transfer the steaks to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and let the steaks rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Tips
– Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steaks. The ideal temperature for medium-rare is 130-135 degrees Fahrenheit.
– Letting the steaks rest after cooking allows the juices to be reabsorbed into the steak, making it more flavorful and juicy.
– If you don’t have a non-stick pan, you can use a regular pan, but make sure to use enough butter and oil to prevent the steaks from sticking.
